Rafting in Slovenia
One of the best rafting rivers in Slovenia is the Soča River. It is a clear, emerald-green waterway that flows through a beautiful valley. In 2008 the Soča Valley was the first destination in Slovenia to be selected by the European Commission as a European Destination of Excellence.
We usually launch from Žaga pri Bovcu. The first 5 km are gentle and forgiving; then we enter the section of the river which contains the rapids. We’ll finish this trip near Trnovo ob Soči. Alternatively a longer route is available that would start in Zmukljica.
