Limnycia and Dnister – The Flood of 2008
07.09, 2-days, the Ukrainian team
“July 27-28, 2008. Heavy rainfalls in the Carpathian Mountains of western Ukraine pushed the Dnister and Prut rivers over their banks. This flooding, according to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, was the worst the region had experienced in decades.”

But there were some advantages also. For example, no need to walk to our hotel – we simply rowed through flooded town of Galych.
