Opir River Whitewater
Whitewater rafting on rivers Opir and Stryj - is one of the most interesting: it goes through picturesque landscapes of a narrow Carpathian volley – down from Skole village.
Rafting begins in Skole - here there are some simple but spectacular whitewater rapids. Immediately after that series of Dubina rapids begins, which are more serious. They could be observed down from the bridge that crosses river Opir towards village Kamjanka and Kamjanka waterfall.
The first whitewater itinerary ends in village Mezybrody, where river Opir joins bigger river Stryj. Here we usually stay overnight having a delicious dinner cooked on fire.
The second day of whitewater rafting leads to village Rozgirche where an ancient cave monastery could be found. It usually take nearly 40 minutes to rich the cave monastery from river Stryj.

This whitewater itinerary is perfect for beginners, but it also could be interesting for more professional rafters, especially in the high water. Each series of rapids usually is followed by the long calm parts of the river.
An important advantage of this whitewater itinerary is its geographical location. It is very convenient to start and ent the rafting trip in almost any point and river Opir is perfectly reachable from Lviv, Kiev and another big cities of Ukraine by train, car or bus.
